One of the newer communities in the western Phoenix, Arizona suburb of Litchfield Park, Wigwam Creek stretches between West Indian School Road and West Camelback along North El Mirage Road. Tot lots, sports courts, recreation fields and walking paths are generous in this westside community, and then there's Wigwam Country Club which is literally right next door. Slightly further to the south is the Palm Valley Golf Course, and slightly further west is Tuscany Falls Golf Course. Wigwam Creek is also in the shadow of Luke Air Force Base, just four miles to the northwest.

Wigwam Creek is part of the Litchfield School District, and no less than eight public and private schools populate the area within just a few miles of the community. Construction on Wigwam Creek began in 2002, with many of the homes completed between 2002 and 2003. Continental Homes, DR Horton, and Fulton Homes were but a few of the builders involved with Wigwam Creek's construction; home prices currently average near the $150,000 mark, though select custom homes can top $400,000. Sizes range from 1400 square feet to over 5000.
